Extra-Curricular PE Clubs
The PE Department offers a whole range of seasonal extra-curricular activities and we actively encourage all students to get involved as much as they can. The chance to take part in new and exciting activities far exceeds the opportunities that students have at primary school and after joining us in Year 7, we find that most students like to extend their PE experience beyond just curriculum lessons.
Orienteering by Megan W.
At Stubbers recently, Chloe and I completed the Orienteering Course 31 minutes and 13 seconds. We were the only secondary school pair to complete the course and we beat the boys from our school who completed it last year. We then qualified for the British Orienteering Championship. We went to a training session at Langdon Hills where we got a time of 26.23 minutes. I read the map and Chloe used the dibber, this worked quite well. For the Championships we went to Black Park in Slough. We came 10th out of 28 teams, we were competing against orienteering clubs and it was only our third time of completing a course, so we did really well.
