This week, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming back former pupil Joel, who generously gave up his time after recently completing his A Levels to speak to our KS3 More Able PE students.

A proud EPA alumnus, Joel shared his incredible journey from being a pupil just like them to becoming one of the country's top young athletes. His achievements include being crowned the 100m England Champion, 100m English Schools Champion, two-time Essex Champion, two-time Southern England Champion, and a U18 European bronze medallist.

Joel's story is nothing short of inspirational. He led an athletics training session for the pupils before reflecting on his time at EPA and explaining how his talent, dedication, and hard work helped him secure a scholarship to Liberty University in Virginia, USA. There, he will study for a degree in Civil Engineering while continuing to pursue his athletics career.
