Summer School 2021

Summer School was a Formula One themed week.  The pupils took part in activities that involved creating, designing and building their own F1 cars which culminated in a race day on the Friday.  

Pupils had to create a speech in English to promote their product; in History they explored the history of F1 and then designed team t-shirt and hat; in Maths they budgeted for their team costs and in DT they built their final product.  For Geography, they completed a tour of the school in a treasure hunt style. We had a sports morning mid-week where the forms competed against each other; the activities were Rounders, Football and Basketball.  Plus each day each form had a standard PE lesson.   On the last day we had a fashion show, race day and awards ceremony and pupils received trophies and certificates.  We also had a Dominoes Pizza lunch on the last day.
