Dear Parents/Carers

Re: Free Parent Coffee Mornings – hosted by Lifeline Projects

Emerson Park Academy have partnered with Lifeline Projects, an organisation that run mentoring workshops in school. As part of their programme, they also offer free parent coffee mornings and we are writing to invite all parents and carers to attend.

This is a great opportunity for parents and carers to meet informally to discuss the current challenges of raising a child in these present times. The Coffee Mornings are a great way to meet people, listen to common parenting issues and enjoy a free drink/snack.   

The first sessions will take place in a local Costa Coffee in Hornchurch (please see flyer), and will not be attended by Emerson Park Staff so that all discussions are informal. Discussion topics are decided by the parents in attendance. Some examples topics may include, attendance concerns; vaping; youth safety; knife crime and more. The first session will be a general introduction and will cover some of the themes mentioned.

The organiser of the coffee morning, Stephen Callender, already hosts several successful Coffee Mornings on behalf of Lifeline Projects and he would be glad to talk to you if you have any questions, his contact details are stephencallender@lifelineprojects.co.uk or 07547 358868.  While this is not organised by the school, Miss Jones or Mr Thurley would also be happy to answer any questions you may have.

All parents and carers are invited with the main aim to strengthen our community.

If you are interested please let either Stephen or us know so we can give Stephen an idea of numbers. This is not a commitment of attendance.
