Remote Learning – School closures

Emerson Park Academy recognises that students learn best in the classroom and will therefore endeavour to remain open to best serve our community. In extreme cases however it may be necessary to close the school to guarantee the safety of pupils which will always be our first priority.

In the event of school closure, classwork will be made available to pupils using our online platform ‘Go4Schools’. Work will be published online and will provide instruction for pupils to work from home. Teachers may choose to host an online ‘live lesson’ and direct students to follow a link on Zoom or Google Meet; students are asked to keep their cameras off.

In cases of staff absence, Go4Schools may not have been updated. In this event, students and parents can utilise a variety of learning tools listed below. They are arranged by subject. These can be used at any time to support a students learning and you do not have to wait for work to be uploaded to begin.
