Dear Parents/Carers
Congratulations on gaining a place for your child at Emerson Park Academy in 2024/2025.
Emerson Park Academy is a mixed comprehensive academy for 1050 pupils aged 11 to 16 years. The Academy can trace its roots back to 1943 when it began life as the only Grammar School in the country to be formed during World War Two. It moved to its present site, spacious and attractive grounds overlooking the Ingrebourne Valley in 1953 and became a comprehensive school twenty years later. In 2023, Emerson Park Academy is thriving with a ‘Good’ Ofsted judgement averaging 1000 applicants for 210 places in Year 7. It is a traditional school with traditional values which, combined with modern-day thinking, creates well-rounded individuals who excel in the arts, academically and in the sporting arena.

Monday 24th & Tuesday 25th June – pupil transition days at Emerson Park Academy
The first day of term is Tuesday 3rd September 2024
